FSU Circle K and Key Club are the BEST!

You make us smile!

We have had a number of FSU Circle K and Key Club members join us as volunteers at The Front Porch Library, and we would like to extend a very public

to all who have helped in some way.

Click here for more information about an upcoming training session for volunteers.

Given the range of ages and abilities of the kids who come each week, your help can be the difference between a productive afternoon and chaos.

At The Front Porch Library we want to get kids reading and we want to help them access the broader world through books and language.  At the same time, we want to offer a safe place where kids can get to know their neighbors and have fun as a community.

We invite all FSU Circle K and Key Club to consider joining us on a regular basis.  Coming to the library every Sunday or twice a month means you will get to know our “regulars” and you will have a chance to make a greater impact.  On any given Sunday you may read to a child, build with legos,  play a game, draw, write, recite poetry, or listen as a child tells you about their favorites.  All of these jobs are important and provide opportunities for service.

For the next two weeks, we will have volunteer training from 2:00 – 2:30pm.  Pick a volunteer training session that you would like to attend, either 11/6 or 11/13 and send an email message to thefrontporchlibrary { at } gmail {dot} com.

Remember the time change!  Library hours are now Sundays from 3 to 5pm until April.  We would appreciate having volunteers arrive at 2:30 to help with set-up.
